Trevor and Andrea McLaren, Helen Jurgens and Warren Hobson have worked in a wide variety of Health settings in Australia, New Zealand and further abroad for Trevor and Andrea. Michael Springmann, a university qualified Remedial Massage Therapist also brings his years of overseas and Australian experience to compliment the Team.Physiotherapy is a profession that assists with restoring function to the body when movement is disrupted. This could be the case with injury, illness, wear and tear and in aging or development disorders in children. Conditions that can be assisted by physiotherapy are as diverse as sports injuries, work injuries, back and knee pain, headaches, respiratory conditions, arthritis, post-surgery rehabilitation, stroke and head injury rehabilitation, orthopaedic conditions, geriatric conditions, children’s developmental problems and women’s health and pelvic floor rehabilitation.Active Physiotherapy Solutions has a fully equipped Clinical Pilates Gym, the only one of its kind in Bundaberg. Clinical Pilates is only provided by physiotherapists and is suitable for most clients.
Trevor McLaren has been practising as a Physiotherapist for 35 years. He graduated from the University of Queensland and has worked in NSW, the Middle East and United Kingdom before returning to settle in his hometown of Bundaberg. Trevor enjoys family time, fishing, camping and various sports including Touch Footy and Golden Oldies Rugby. He is an active member of the Bundaberg community and enjoys church life.
Andrea McLaren is Trevor’s wife and has been practicing Physiotherapy for 36 years. She originates from NSW and graduated from Cumberland College of Health Sciences. She also worked in NSW, the Middle East and United Kingdom and came with Trevor to live and work in Bundaberg where they had their 5 children. Andrea enjoys many cultural pursuits including singing and music, photography and is an active member of the Bundaberg community, volunteering at Dance eistedffods, as well as Church activities. Andrea has volunteered as a Physiotherapist in an overseas orphanage and is passionate about bettering children’s lives.
Christine Girgis graduated from the University of Cairo and has worked in various Health sectors in Egypt until moving to Australia last year. Christine is passionate about helping people and regularly volunteered in Medical Missions in disadvantaged areas in Egypt and Africa. She has rapidly become involved in Bundaberg and volunteered in free community events as an actor. She has taken up new challenges in Australia such as learning to ride a bike and enjoying nature. She is also active in her Church.
